W5PYT - Bob on 20 Meters, 1991
Ozona Bob, as W5PYT is known, is another of the very well known AMers, like Ashtabula Bill, W8VYZ. Bob produces a good signal on all the bands from 160 through 10 meters. He is known for E-X-T-E-N-D-E-D transmissions. This clip is 3:18 minutes long but was culled from a transmission of over ten minutes! Bob details the history of his involvement on 20 meter AM and interestingly mentions the orignal AMI (different from the current one) formed around 1978. |
