W3DUQ - Bill on 75 Meters, 1998
Bill has been running AM since the 1960's. He has always had BIG audio - for years running a rig with the 'upside down tube' circuit capable of more than 200% positive peak modulation. Today, Bill's station is less esoteric but is still capable of lots of good sounding audio. Would you beleive he's running a modified Yaesu FT-101 driving a linear! Bill also hosts The Future Net, a informal meeting on Sunday afternoons (3872 kHz) to discuss topics ranging from high technology to UFO's. |
